Our courteous and helpful customer service personnel are trained to process orders promptly and efficiently. In most cases delivery can be made within twenty-four hours. Specialty equipment that is not usually in stock can be ordered through our suppliers, provided that a brand name and stock number are furnished by the therapist or physician requesting the item.
All of Mercy Home Care's delivery technicians have been trained and in-serviced in the equipment they provide to the patients. Patients always receive written as well as verbal instructions on how to use and care for their equipment. The technicians utilize an environmental checklist to ensure patient safety prior to the education checklist. Of course at any time patients are welcome and encouraged to call Mercy Home Care for additional education or service calls.
Mercy Home Care accepts Medicare, Medicaid, No Fault Insurance as well as a large list of HMO's. In addition to insurance payments we accept private and self-pay orders as well as credit cards.
Our organization is very proud to be JCAHO accredited since 1994. We are members of NYMEP (New York Medical Equipment Providers Association) and additionally we support CORE (Congress of Racial Equality). Mercy has just completed the re-enrollment process for National Supplier Clearinghouse that is a requirement every three years for durable medical equipment providers and as a result, effective 10/27/05, our supplier number with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has been updated.
